A Black man in Mississippi got lynched today, no suicide, that man was hung from a goddamn TREE, that is centuries of white terrorism in one act, it is 2015 and they still hanging us and i don’t know how to process that it’s too absurd to even think about rationally it is so bizarre to relive my grandmother’s narratives decades later.

His name was Otis James Byrd. He was 54 years old.
